Greetings, Missionaries!

We’re moving ahead in our ministry with the poor. Our next step, as I e-mailed earlier, is to train ourselves and get some exposure to various ministries. On Saturday May 14^th we’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. to discuss dynamics of inner-city ministry. Then you will have at least three dates to choose from for hands-on exposure. They are:

F Saturday May 19^th, 10:00 – 2:00

“Outreach” at People’s Ministry in Christ. This is a sidewalk sale

with opportunities for interaction, evangelism, and relationship-building with members of that small church. (You needn’t stay for the entire time).

F Tuesday May 22^nd, 11:00 – 1:30

F Friday May 25^th, 11:00 – 1:30

There are two other possibilities I want to mention. One is to organize a basketball game or other fun event in a city park. This is relatively easy to do, and we can either keep it simple and spontaneous or plan something more elaborate. The second possibility is to return to our work site for Flower City Work Camp. We have a good relationship with the owner there, and the teens we met would be interested in a short-term bible study (see picture below). We’re hoping for a mini work camp June 24-26 and we’ll need varieties of workers for it.

This is exciting! I’m eager to see where God leads us.
