Fun & Fellowship - that says it all.  We are a committee that existed many years ago and have rallied again.  Our mission is to provide opportunities for that "Fun" and "Fellowship" for all of the members (of all ages) of the Parkminster Family; times when we can get together and have a variety of different experiences to further our relations with each other.  We have found by sharing life/having fun together, we get to know one another and create relationships and closer bonds that unite us as the body of Christ.

Events we have had in the past are a Harvest dinner and Game night, a Bowling party, a Pancake breakfast followed by decorating the church for Christmas, a "Polar Party" at a park lodge in Jan with food and winter fun in the snow for those brave enough to be outside and games for those that preferred to stay inside by the fire, Skiing at a local ski area, a Cowboy BBQ with Country Line dancing...
Looking to the future, we're planning a "Blue Moon" party, a Strawberry social, a church picnic, going to Red Wings game, going to a Speedway, a wine and cheese tasting party, going to a Corn Maize, a Men's Bake-off and talent show in the fall...

We have many ideas of ways to have fun together and we're always receptive to any others that people may have.

We have introduced the Parkminster Council of Arts, which is a listing of the different events that people are involved in , to allow all the rest of the congregation the opportunity to share in that event simply because they know about it.  These listings are in the Parkminsert and there is a bulletin board with the postings of events.

We have initiated Parkminster Pockets in response to our interest survey.  We found that there are many people that share the same interests.  The Pockets are basically a listing of those people who share that interest to allow them to contact other people when they are doing their activity and do it with others.
